Where We Train
A serious gym. Without the intimidation.
Jake coaches out of RepHaus in Sturminster Newton. It's an independent strength gym built properly, with racks, free weights, machines and cardio, and none of the chain-gym noise. It's the kind of gym most beginners would never walk into alone. That's exactly why it's the right place to start with a coach.
Why RepHaus
Integrity, creativity, and empathy shape the way we work. These aren't just words—they’re the foundation of everything we build. We believe in doing great work, building real relationships, and making it easy for you to get the results you’re looking for.
Proper kit, from day one.
The gym is fitted out with BLK BOX equipment, a UK strength manufacturer. You'll learn on the same equipment you'll still be using in five years. You won't outgrow it.
Quiet enough to learn.
There's no packed gym floor and no queue for the squat rack. There's space to get your technique right without feeling watched.

Open 24/7 between sessions.
Your sessions with Jake are only part of the week. RepHaus is open round the clock, so the training Jake programmes for you fits around work, kids and real life. There's no excuse built into the opening hours.
Locally owned.
RepHaus was set up by two people from Sturminster Newton who wanted a proper place to train. That's the same reason Jake Douglas Coaching exists.

It's a serious gym, which is why you start with a coach. By the time you're training on your own, you'll know exactly what you're doing.
-
That's who Jake works with most. Your first sessions cover the basics: how the equipment works, how to set it up and how to move safely. You won't be asked to do anything you haven't been shown first.
-
Usually, yes. Tell Jake at your consultation and your training will be built around it. For anything significant, check with your GP first. If something needs medical input, Jake will tell you.
